Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal pada tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran (mix methods). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020 pada siswa kelas VII-E SMPN 3 Sampang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, tes, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 48,80%. Siswa tergolong kategori tinggi sebanyak 6 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 20,00%, siswa tergolong kategori sedang sebanyak 19 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 63,33%, dan siswa tergolong kategori rendah sebanyak 5 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 16,67%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa masih tergolong rendah. Kata Kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah, pemanasan global

The porpouse of this research is to analyze the problem solving ability of junior high school in solving problems on the problem solving ability test. This type of research uses mix methods. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year for students of class VII-E SMPN 3 Sampang. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation, tests, documentation, and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the average problem solving ability of students is 48.80%. Students in the high category were 6 students with a percentage of 20.00%, students in the moderate category were 19 students with a percentage of 63.33%, and students were in the low category as many as 5 students with a percentage of 16.67%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that students' problem solving abilities are still relatively low. Keywords: global warming, problem solving ability.
