This study is concerned with feminism and related to feminism. This study aims to describe the struggle by women in Top Girls by Caryl Churchill and to find out the kind of struggle to reaching equality or get the same rights as men, the freedom of women to express themselves in various fields and analyze using the feminist approach focus on liberal feminism. The struggle depicts liberal feminism manifested by the characters. This study used qualitative research method. The technique of collecting data, the data are utterances and the author’s narration. The technique of data analysis is focusing, simplifying, assembling, interpreting and concluding. The writer found that three characters in Top Girls do the struggle of women depicts liberal feminism. Those are the struggle to get work or taking part in work sphere, to get an education, and to empower other women. The result of this study it was found the reasons why the female characters struggle in the drama. The characters do the struggle because they want to get the same rights as men and get the freedom to be active in various aspects of life. Moreover, there are various ways of struggling by the female characters to get equality depicting liberal feminism, such as pursuing a good career and having education. Furthermore the role of sisterhood is necessary to lead women protagonists to be equal to men. Keywords : Equality, Feminist Criticism, Liberal Feminism.
