Jagung adalah komoditas strategis di Indonesia. Pulau Madura memiliki luas areal tanam sebesar 400.000 hektare. Petani jagung hibrida menggunakan input produksi secara tidak proporsional sehingga menyebabkan produktivitas yang rendah dan biaya usahatani tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efisiensi teknis, efisiensi alokatif dan efisiensi ekonomi usahatani jagung hibrida di Pulau Madura. Penelitian dilakukan di Pulau Madura dengan total jumlah 60 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, secara rata-rata petani jagung hibrida di Pulau Madura dapat mencapai tingkat efisiensi teknis, tapi belum dapat mencapai tingkat efisiensi alokatif dan ekonomi dengan nilai secara berturut-turut sebesar 0,720, 0,312 dan 0,208.

Corn is a strategic commodity in Indonesia. Madura Island has a planting area of 400,000 hectares. Hybrid corn farmers use disproportionate production inputs, its causing of low productivity and high farming costs. The purpose of this study is to analyze of technical efficiency, allocative efficiency and economic efficiency of hybrid corn farming on Madura Island.
