Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan mitigasi bencana menggunakan model integrated science terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Benjeng dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII dan sampel penelitian pada kelas VII F dan VII G. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan indikator Polya. Analisis data menggunakan uji t sampel bebas melalui program SPSS versi 20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, diperoleh hasil uji t sampel bebas dengan signifikansi 0,028 dan kriteria pengujian -thitung < ttabel < thitung sebesar -2,252 < 2,000 < 2,252, (2) kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dengan persentase 61,5% dan 54%, (3) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berlangsung sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 96,5% , (4) respon siswa diperoleh persentase tertinggi pada indikator 1 sebanyak 71% siswa menjawab sangat setuju.
AbstractionThe study aimed to know the implementation integrated science with disaster mitigation toward student’s problem-solving ability. The research used the quasi-experiment method with the research design is non equivalent control group design. The research had been held at Junior High School of 1 Benjeng with all student of 7th grade population and sample of research on grade VII F and VII G. The collecting data used the test of problem-solving ability with Polya’s indicator. The data analysis used independent sample t-test through the SPSS program version 20th. Based on the result showed that: (1) there were differences in problem-solving ability between the experimental class and control class, independent sample t-test results were obtained with significance 0,028 and –tcount < ttable < tcount value of -2,252 < 2,000 < 2,252, (2) problem-solving ability of the experimental class is higher than control class with percentage 61,5% and 54%, (3) the implementation of learning took place very good with a percentage value of 96,5%, (4) student responses was obtained highest percentage on indicator 1 value of 71% student answered agree.
