ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Children Learning In Science (CLIS) dengan startegi Scaffolding terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental design dengan desain nonequivalent control design dan dilaksanakan di MTs. Miftahul Ulum Gayam dengan populasi semua kelas VIII pada pokok pembahasan getaran, gelombang, bunyi, sistem pendengaran manusia, dan sisem sonar. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan desain purposive sampling. Teknis analisis data menggunakan uji t sampel bebas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon siswa rata-rata pernyataan positif sangat setuju 23,53%, setuju 39,41%, tidak setuju 24,71%, dan sangat tidak setuju 12,35% sedangkan pernyataan negatif sangat setuju 8,82%, setuju 22,94%, tidak setuju 55,88%, dan sangat tidak setuju 12,35%, rata-rata yang diperoleh dari perhitungan respon siswa perindikator yaitu 71% dengan kriteria baik. AbstractionABSTRACT This study aimed to determine students respon the effect of Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning models with Scaffolding strategies on students 'critical thinking skills. The study used a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control design and was implemented in MTs.Miftahul Ulum Gayam with a population of all VIII class on the subject of vibrations discussion, waves, sounds, human hearing systems, and sonar systems. The sampling technique used nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling design. Technical data analysis using independent sample t test. Based on the results of the study and data analysis showed that. Student responses average positive statement strongly agree 23.53%, agree 39.41%, disagree 24.71%, and strongly disagree 12.35% while negative statements strongly agree 8,82%, agree 22.94%, disagree 55.88%, and strongly disagree 12.35%, the average obtained from the calculation of the indicators of student responses is 71% with good criteria.
