  • PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 1 AROSBAYA TAHUN AJARAN 2018/2019

    Abstraksi

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menuangkanide menjadi bentuk karya tulis, kesulitan memilih objek ataupun tema dan kesulitandalam memulai untuk menulis. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu bagaimanakemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Arosbaya dan bagaimanapengaruh strategi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadapkemampuan menulis teks eksplanasisiswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Arosbaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikankemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Arosbaya danmendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan menulisteks eksplanasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Arosbaya. Penelitian ini menggunakanbeberapa teori yaitu tentang strategi pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran inkuiri, hakikatmenulis dan hakikat teks eksplanasi. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatifdenganmenggunakan desain penelitianQuasi Eksperimen Designyaitu modelNon-EquivalentControl Group Desaigndengan populasi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Arosbaya tahun ajaran2018/2019. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2 kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data padapenelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, kuesioner angket dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji realibilitas, analisis lembar observasidan analisis angket respon siswa. Analisis data tes keterampilan menulis menggunakanuji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji gainternormalisasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Terdapatpeningkatan nilaipostestsiswa kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan nilaipretest(2)Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan startegi pembelajaran inkuiri terhadapkemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa. (3) Respon siswa terhadap penerapan strategipembelajaran inkuiri sangat positif dengan memperoleh rata-rata 95,75%. (4)Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri memperoleh persentase 97% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Kata kunci: inkuiri, keterampilan menulis, teks eksplanasi.

    Abstraction

    This research is motivated by the difficulty of students in outpouringideas into forms of writing, difficulty in choosing objects or themes and difficulty inbeginning to write.The research problems of this research are how is the ability to writeexplanatory texts of class VIIISMPN 1 Arosbayaand how are the influencesof inquiry-based learning strategies on the ability to write explanatory texts of class VIIISMPN 1Arosbaya. This study aims to describe the ability to write explanatory texts for studentsgrade VIIISMPN 1 Arosbayaand describe the influence of inquiry-based learningstrategies on the ability to write explanatory texts of class VIIISMPN 1 Arosbaya.Thisreseach uses some theories such as learning strategies,inquiry-based learning strategies,writing, and explanatory text.The type of this research is quantitative by using theQuasiExperimental Designresearch design that is theNon-EquivalentControl Group Design model with a population of class VIIISMPN 1 Arosbaya Academic Year 2018/2019. Thesamples of this study are two classes. The Technique of Analyzing Data in this researchused observation techniques, tests, questionnaire questionnaires and documentation. TheTechnique of Analyzing Data used the validity test, reliability test, observation sheetanalysis andthe response of studentquestionnaire analysis. Analysis of writing skills testdata use the analysis prerequisite test that is normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesistest and normalized gain test. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) There isan increase in theposttestvalue of the experimental class students comparedwith the value of thepretest(2) There is a significant effect of the implementation ofinquiry-based learning strategies on the ability to write explanatory text for students.(3)Students' responses to the implementation of inquiry-based learning strategies are verypositive by gaining an average of 95.75%. (4) The implementation of learning withinquiry-based learning strategies earned a percentage of 97% in the category of "verygood". Keywords: inquiry, writing skills, explanatory texts.
