ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas tinggi pada mata pelajaran matematika di UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1. Aspek yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar, dampak kesulitan belajar dan peran guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan responden kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa kelas tinggi di UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji melalui uji kredibilitas dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian mengenai peran guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas tinggi pada mata pelajaran matematika di UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1 yaitu (1) bentuk kesulitan belajar matematika yang terjadi ada 3 bentuk. (2) faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa berasal dari faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yang. (3) kesulitan belajar siswa berdampak bagi siswa itu sendiri dan berdampak bagi sekolah, (4) peran guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa kelas tinggi pada mata pelajaran matematika guru telah melaksanakan 11 peran. Kata Kunci: Peran Guru, Kesulitan Belajar, Pembelajaran Matematika.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to describe the role of teachers in overcoming high class student learning difficulties in mathematics in UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1.The aspects that were observed in study of including factors that cause learning difficulties, the impact of learning difficulties and the role of teachers in overcoming student learning difficulties. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with respondents of principals, teachers and high class students in UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1. The data was collected through interviews, observations and documentations. The data was analyzed by reducing, displaying and concluding. The data was validited by through a credibility test with triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this research about the role of teachers in overcoming the learning difficulties of high class students in mathematics in UPTD SDN Banyuajuh 1, are (1) there are 3 forms of learning difficulties for mathematics. (2) the factors that cause students' learning difficulties come from internal factors and external factors. (3) student learning difficulties have an impact on students themselves and impact on schools, (4) the role of teachers in overcoming the learning difficulties of high class students in mathematics subjects the teacher has performed 11 roles.
