    Abstraksi

    Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia meliputi empat aspek keterampilan yaitu keterampilan mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Melalui pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesian diarahkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berkomunikasi secara baik dan benar, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Namun, jika dilihat dari aspek membaca masih banyak siswa yang kurang dalam kemampuan membaca. Peneliti ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Model VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestethic) terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas II. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan bentuk Quasi Eksperimental Desaign dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Desaign. Penelitian dilaksanakan di UPTD SDN Tajungan Kamal dengan polulasi semua siswa kelas II. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas dengan jumlah masing-masing 19 siswa. pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan memperoleh t_hitung=4,01>t_tabel=2,08 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan model VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestethic) terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas II UPTD SDN Tajungan Kamal.     Abstraction

    ABSTRACT Learning of Indonesian Language includes four aspects of skills, those are the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through learning Indonesian language directed to improve student’s skill in communicating well and correctly, whether orally or in writing. But, if it is viewed from the speaking aspect, still many students who less in reading skill. The researcher aims to find out the use of VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestethic) Model at the reading skill of the students in Class II. The researcher uses the method of experiment in the form of Quasi Experimental Design by using the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research is conducted in UPTD of Elementary School Tanjung Kamal with the populations are all the students in Class II. The technique of sampling uses Saturation Sampling. The research samples are consisted of 2 classes with 19 students in each class. The collecting the data uses test, observation, and documentation. The technique of analysing data uses an analysis of hypothesis test using t-test. Based on the research results obtained t_count=4,01>t_table=2,08 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of VAK (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestethic) Model at the reading skill of Students in Class II in UPTD of Primary School Tanjungan Kamal.
