Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Quasi Experimental desain, yang dilaksanakan di kelas V UPTD SD Negeri Bancaran 4 dengan jumlah 42 siswa. Peneilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis penelitian dengan uji t dua sampel independen diperoleh thitung 10,76777 dan ttabel 2,02108 dengan thitung > ttabel sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya model CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V. Berdasarkan hasil observasi aktivitas siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata keselurahn presentase sebesar 87,5% yang berkategori baik. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) berjalan dengan baik. AbstractionThis study uses quantitative research by Quasi Experimental design. That was done by fifth class in UPTD elementary school Bancaran 4 with 42 students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) to learn model on reading comprehension of 5 grade students of the data are collected by using test and observations. Based on the result of calculations the research hypothesis test by writer paper based test by doing the two test independent, there was the result the tcalculates 10.76777 and ttable 2.02108 with tcalculates > ttable thus Ho rejected and Ha was accepted. It means that the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) model has a significant effect on reading comprehension for fifth grade students. Moreover, based on the observation, students activity obtained the precentage average value about 87,5% who has good category in. We can conclude that students activity which uses cooperative learning CIRC in learning process. Keywords : CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) , Reading, Comprehension.
