This study is aimed at analyzing the issues of homosexuality especially to gay men characters in the novel; homosexuality is a sexual desire that is directed towards members of one’s sex that has existed for a long decade until it was accepted by society. The research of a qualitative study applying an analysis method. The subject of this research is the novel Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli. The data were some phrases, clauses, and sentences from the novel. The data analysis was conducted by classifying and categorizing the data to find the inferences. The finding of the research shows about the issues of homosexuality that happened to the gay men characters in the novel: there are two major points of analysis, first, the community reactions .Second, the experience of gay men when negotiating their sexuality in the process of coming out to (1) family (2) friends and (3) social. Based on the conclusions summarizing the whole content discussed in chapter four and several suggestions can be offered. First, the readers should view something from different points of view to get more value and experience to be brought to real life. Second, we must honor other people’s ways of life.
