  • Lady Helen's Striving For Success In Alison Goodman The Dark Days Pact

    Abstraksi

    The aim of the study is to analyze striving for the success of the main character within The Dark Days Pact by Alison Goodman. Lady Helen's strive her success using individual psychology by Alfred Adler. Furthermore, to analyze the novel this study uses qualitative design because the data were analyzed and interpreted were not manipulated. The data which were described and analyzed are the form of words. The key instrument is the writer herself, the utterances of the characters and narration described showing by Lady Helen's condition. In line features of qualitative research the data collection was done with data analysis. There are three related processed in the data analysis are reducting data, displaying data, and making conclusion. The result from the main character striving can be seen from three aspect. First, she success to save many people from the crime of deceivers in London, success in revealing the secrets of the death of her parents. The last final goal of Lady Helen gained the trust of the queen in her efforts against the deceivers. From this study, it can be seen the main character is success to get the final goal from her striving by using the rule of Adler theory.
