ABSTRAK Tanaman selasih ungu (Ocimum basilicum L. cv Dark Opal) merupakan salah satu tanaman obat yang seluruh bagian tanamannya dapat dimanfaatkan. Informasi tentang pola pertumbuhan tanaman selasih ungu masih sedikit, padahal dengan mengetahui pola pertumbuhan selasih ungu dapat dijadikan dasar dalam penerapan strategi budidaya yang tepat dan efektif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Agroteknologi Universitas Trunojoyo Madura pada bulan Februari hingga Mei 2019, dilaksanakan selama 91 hari dengan interval pengamatan 7 hari sekali. Variabel yang diamati adalah laju perkecambahan, tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, bobot kering cabang, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot kering daun, jumlah akar, akar terpanjang, bobot kering akar, bobot bunga, dan jumlah tandan bunga. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanaman selasih ungu memiliki pola pertumbuhan sigmoid dimana pola pertumbuhannya mula-mula lambat, meningkat, kemudian menurun. Pertumbuhan vegetatif meningkat antara umur 77-84 HST, dan mulai penurunan pada umur 91 HST. Tanaman selasih ungu memiliki tipe indeterminate dimana pertumbuhan vegetatif masih meningkat walaupun tanaman sudah memasuki fase generatif. ABSTRACT Purple basil (Ocimum basilicum L. cv Dark Opal) is one of the medicinal plants have all parts of the plant can be utilized . Information about the growth patterns of purple basil plants is still a little, the knowing the growth pattern of purple basil can be used as the basis for the application of appropriate and effective cultivation strategies. This research was conducted in the Agrotechnology Experimental Garden of the University of Trunojoyo Madura from February until May 2019, carried out for 91 days with 7 days of observation intervals. Variables observed were germination rate, plant height, sum of branches, branch dry weight, sum of leaves, leaf area, leaf dry weight, sum of roots, longest roots, root dry weight, flower weight, and sum of flower bunches. The data obtained were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the purple basil plant has a sigmoid growth pattern where the growth pattern is initially slow, increases, then decrease. Vegetatife growth increased between ages 77-84 HST, and began to decline at the age of 91 HST. Purple basil plants have an indeterminate type where vegetatife growth is still increasing even though the plant has entered the generatif phase.
