    Abstraksi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan, respon siswa, keterbacaan, dan minat belajar siswa terhadap bahan ajar berbasis komik “The Light of Life”. Jenis pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Four D Models) yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian (define), perencanaan (design), pengembangan (develop), tanpa tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kamal. Sampel penelitian adalah 26 siswa kelas VIII B. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata kelayakan bahan ajar dari hasil uji validitas sebesar 76,65% dinyatakan layak digunakan tanpa revisi (valid) dan uji reliabilitas sebesar 91,15% dinyatakan baik, rata-rata kelayakan materi dari hasil uji validitas sebesar 77,45% dinyatakan layak digunakan tanpa revisi (valid) dan uji reliabilitas sebesar 91,35% dinyatakan baik, keterbacaan sebesar 97,27% dinyatakan sangat baik, respon siswa sebesar 97,4% dinyatakan sangat setuju dan minat belajar siswa sebesar 97,21% dinyatakan sangat tinggi. Disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis komik “The Light of Life” terhadap minat belajar siswa layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Kata Kunci: Bahan ajar, cahaya, komik, minat.

    Abstraction

    The aims of this research to know validity, student’s response, readable, and interest in student learning on comic-based materials "The Light of Life". The development used 4D model (Four D Models) that includes the defining, define, design, development, without disseminate phases. The population this research is all of students VIII class in Junior High School 3 Kamal. The sample this research is 26 students of class VIII B. The average validity scores of teaching materials aspect was 76.65% with proper used without revision (valid) and reliability test result was 91,15% with good category, the average scores of materials aspect was 77.45% with proper used without revision (valid) and reliability result was 91.35% with good category, readability score was 97.27% with good criteria, the student’s response was 97.4% with absolutely attractive criteria and student's learning interest of 97.21% with very high criteria. To concluded the developing of comic based materials "The Light of Life" on the student’s learning interest is suitable for use as teaching material.
