  • PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERBASIS SOCIOSCIENTIFIC ISSUES PADA MATERI PEMANASAN GLOBAL UNTUK MELATIH KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA

    Abstraksi

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan, keterbacaan, keterlaksanaan, pengaruh, dan respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar berbasis socioscientific issues pada materi pemanasan global. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Desain penelitian adalah one-group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Pamekasan kelas VII F pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar yang berbasis socio-scientific issues pada materi pemanasan global sangat valid dan layak digunakan dengan persentase ahli media sebesar 78,26% dan reliabilitas sebesar 95,83%. Persentase ahli materi sebesar 78,65% dan reliabilitas sebesar 98,55%. (2) Hasil rata-rata penilaian keterbacaan sebesar 81,67% dengan kategori terbaca sangat baik. (3) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mulai dari pertemuan 1 hingga 3 mendapatkan peresentase 100%. (4) ada pengaruh bahan ajar berbasis socio-scientific issues pada materi pemanasan global terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang kurang dari taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan -15,785 < 2,04523 < 15,785 sehingga H0 ditolak. Kemampuan literasi sains awal siswa sangat rendah, namun saat diberikan bahan ajar berbasis socio-scientific issues menjadi cukup. (5) Hasil rata-rata penilaian angket respon siswa sebesar 83,75% dengan kategori sangat baik. Bahan ajar berbasis socio-scientific issues dinyatakan layak digunakan dan dapat melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, literasi sains, pengembangan, socio-scientific issues

    Abstraction

    The aim of this research was to know validity, readable, implementation, influence, and student response of teaching material based on socio-scientific issues with global warming’s material. This research was research and development with Dick and Carey’s model. Design of this research was one-group pretest-posttest. This research held in SMPN 1 Pamekasan, VII F class, at even semester, academic year 2017/2018. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded: (1) The teaching material based on socio-scientific issues with global warming’s material was very valid and proper to use wit percentage of media expert 78,65% and reliability 98,55%. (2) The average result of readable 81,67% with readability category. (3) Learning activities from first meeting until third meeting got 100% percentage. (4) there was effect of teaching material based on socio-scientific issues with global warming’s material to student science literacy’s skill with significance value of 0,000 with less than 0,05 significance and -15,785 < 2,04523 < 15,785. So, H0 got denied. Evidence by result that student’s early science literacy skill was very low, however when given teaching material based on socio-scientific issues being enough. (5) The average result of student response was 83,75% with very good category. The teaching material based on socio-scientific issues considered feasible to use and could be training of student science literacy’s skill.
