  • PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR IPA TERPADU TEMA TEKANAN BERBASIS STEM MENGGUNAKAN FOUR STEPS TEACHING MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT

    Abstraksi

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kelayakan, keterpahaman, dan respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema tekanan berbasis STEM menggunakan four steps teaching material development. Jenis penelitian adalah RnD (research and development) menggunakan model four steps teaching material development yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi, dan reduksi didaktik. Desain penelitian adalah one-shot case study. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Bungah Gresik di kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Hasil rerata penilaian kelayakan tahap seleksi sebesar 0,95 dengan kriteria kesesuaian sangat baik, penilaian kelayakan tahap strukturisasi sebesar 0,73 dengan kriteria kesesuaian sangat baik, penilaian kelayakan tahap karakterisasi sebesar 0,98 dengan kriteria kesesuaian sangat baik, penilaian kelayakan bahan ajar sebesar 0,95 dengan kriteria kesesuaian sangat baik, dan reliabilitas sebesar 0,557 dengan kriteria reliabilitas cukup. (2) Hasil rerata keterpahaman bahan ajar sebesar 59,25% dengan kriteria sedang. (3) Hasil rerata respon siswa sebesar 77,12% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema tekanan berbasis STEM menggunakan four steps teaching material development dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.     Abstraction

    The aim of this study is to know the validity, understanding, and students response of the integrated natural science teaching materials themes presurre based STEM using four steps teaching material development. The kind of research was RnD (research and development) with four steps teaching material development model is consist of four steps: selection, structuring, characterization, and didactic reduction. Design of this research was one-shot case study. The study was did in SMPN 1 Bungah Gresik, VIII class, in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. Based of the result of this study are: (1) The average result of validaty at the selection stage was 0,95 with the criterion of conformity is very good, validaty at the structuring stage was 0,73 with the criterion of conformity is very good, validaty at the characterization stage was 0,98 with the criterion of conformity is very good, validaty at the feasibility of teaching materials was 0,95 with the criterion of conformity is very good, and reliability was 0,557 with the criterion of enough reliability. (2) The average result of understanding of teaching materials was 59,25% with medium criterion. (3) The average result of students response assesment was 77,12% with very good criterion. The integrated natural science teaching materials themes preasure based STEM using four steps teaching material development are considered worthy of use in natual science learning.
