  • PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CORE (CONNECTING ORGANIZING REFLECTING EXTENDING) UNTUK MELATIH KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA

    Abstraksi

    Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental design dengan nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 4 Bangkalan dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII pada materi Cahaya. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII F dan VIII H. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t sampel bebas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa; (1) Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dibuktikan nilai uji t sampel bebas, nilai –thitung < ttabel < thitung yakni -2,064 ? 2,00758 < 2,064 maka H1 diterima, (2) Siswa merespon dengan sangat baik pembelajaran menggunakan model CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending), dengan nilai persentase angket respon siswa sebesar 84,69%, (3) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) berkategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 100%. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending), pembelajaran IPA.

    Abstraction

    The research aims to know the influence of CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) model toward critical thingking skill of students. Research methods in this research use a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The research held at SMPN 4 Bangkalan with a population of whole grade VIII on the subject of light. The sample use 2 classes, namely class VIII F and VIII H. Data analysis techniques use independent t sample test. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that; (1) Presence the influence of CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) model toward critical thingking skill of students, The value of t test independent prove that –tcount < ttable < tcount is -2,064 ? 2,00758 < 2,064 then H1 is accepted, (2) The Student give a very good response to learning use CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) model, the percentage value of student response questionnaire is 84,69%, (3) Realization learning use CORE (Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending) model is very good with an average 100%.
