  • PERAN GURU DALAM MENGATASI SISWA YANG KURANG LANCAR MEMBACA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA (Studi kasus pada siswa kelas I SDN di Desa Banyuajuh)

    Abstraksi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Guru Dalam Mengatasi Siswa Yang Kurang Lancar Membaca pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia (Studi Kasus Kelas I SDN Di Desa Banyuajuh). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketan kualitatif, menggunakan teknik pengumpul data, yaitu wawancara terstruktur dan observasi. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru dalam mengatasi siswa yang kurang lancar (1) sebagai pembimbing, memberikan bimbingan, perhatian, jam tambahan; (2) sebagai motivator, berupa konfirmasi tugas dan penghargaan, dorongan; (3) sebagai mediator berupa memiliki keterampilan berkomunikasi dan membangun kedekatan hubungan dengan siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa kendala-kendala yang ditemukan, diantaranya pada pelaksanaan kegiatan proses pembelajaran membaca yaitu disebabkan oleh: (1) minat, (2) ekonomi dan sosial. Peran guru mengatasi siswa yang kurang lancar membaca memberikan peran sebagai pembimbing, memberikan jam tambahan kepada siswa yang kurang lancar membaca. Peran sebagai motivator memberikan motivasi bagi siswa yang mengalami kurang lancar membaca. Peran guru sebagai mediator guru mempersiapkan bahan ajar dan sumber bacaan ketika di sekolah.     Abstraction

    ABSTRACT This research is aimed to reveal teacher's role in overcoming students inability to read well in Bahasa Indonesia lesson (a case study of first grade SDN in Banyuajuh). This research belongs to qualitative descriptive which describe and analyze information based on facts and factual conditions when it was conducted by acquiring data through observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis in this study is used Miles and Huberman model. The result of the resarch shows as follow; 1. As academic advisor, the teachers have to provide academic guidance and sufficient attention 2. As motivator, it is a must for the teachers to provide assignment confirmation, reward and motivation 3. As mediator, the teachers must have a good communication skill which enable to enhance and strengthen a student-teacher relationship through the use of various learning media. However, there were obstacles found during the research, one of which occures in reading learning activity process which was caused by 1. Interest 2. Economical and social status. The role of teachers in overcoming the students inability to read well is playing the role as a mentor, providing additional hours to students who are less fluent in reading. The role as a motivator, provides motivation for students who less fluent in reading. The teacher's role as a teacher mediator in school prepares teaching materials and reading resources.
