    Abstraksi

    Skripsi adalah tugas akhir yang harus diselesaikan oleh mahasiswa guna untuk memperoleh gelar sarjana. Tidak sedikit mahasiswa yang menyalahkan keadaan atau orang lain dalam setiap pengerjaan skripsinya, hal tersebut salah satu ciri dari Self Serving Bias. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi Self Serving Bias adalah Self Awareness dan salah satu elemen dalam kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan Self Serving Bias pada mahasiswa yang mengerjakan skripsi di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Metode penelitian dalam penelitan ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Peneliti menggunakan 400 subjek dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kecerdasan emosional dan Self Serving Bias. Analisis data menggunakan spearman rank¬dengan hasil 0,000 < 0,05 dengan nilai koefisien korelasi -0,872. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negative antara kecerdasan emosional dengan Self Serving Bias pada mahasiswa yang mengerjakan skripsi

    Abstraction

    Undergraduate research is the final project in order to completed the undergraduate degree. Not a few students blame the situation or other people in each of their thesis work, this is one of the characteristics of Self Serving Bias. One of the factors that influence Self Serving Bias is Self Awareness and one of the elements in emotional intelligence. This study aims to look at the relationship of emotional intelligence with Self Serving Bias to students who do thesis at Trunojoyo Madura University. The research method in this study is a quantitative research method. The researcher used 400 subjects using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique uses a scale of emotional intelligence and Self Serving Bias. Data analysis using Spearman rank with results of 0,460 <0,05 with a correlation coefficient value of -0,872. This shows that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and Self Serving Bias on students working on thesis.
