This study focuses on the types and functions of illocutionary acts in the Islam Itu Indah Tausiyah Oki Setiana Dewi. This study is conducted by the writer to explain the types and functions of illocutionary acts from “Oki Setiana Dewi” utterance in her speech or “Tausiyah”. Writer uses the theory proposed by Searle (1976) and Leech (1983) to analyze the data. The objectives of this study are to explain the types of illocutionary acts in the Islam Itu Indah Tausiyah Oki Setiana Dewi. This study uses descriptive qualitative design. The researcher herself is used as research instrument in this study. After classifying and analyzing the data, the writer found 23 in types of illocutionary acts and 23 data in functions of illocutionary acts in the finding. The writer found five types of illocutionary acts, they are 7 data of representative, 2 data of commisive, 9 data of directive, 0 data of declarative, and 5 data of expressive. In addition, the writer also found four functions of illocutionary acts, they are 6 data of competitive, 6 data of convivial, 6 data of collaborative, and 5 data of conflictive. It can be concluded that the speaker uses all types and functions of illocutionary acts in her utterance from her “Tausiyah”.
