This study focuses on idiolects found in Oprah Winfrey Show. Indeed, it aims to explain the characteristics of idiolect and the factors which influence idiolect to happen in Oprah Winfrey Show by using the theory proposed by Coulthard and Johnson (2010). Qualitative research was applied to explain the data by using words description. The data were the collection of words, phrases, sentences, and utterances containing idiolects in Oprah Winfrey Show taken from Youtube.com. The writer was the key instrument of this study because all processes of the observation, interpretation, and analysis the data were conducted by the writer herself. The method of collecting the data was observation method by collecting rich and detailed data through descriptive notes. Miles’ and Huberman’s interactive data analysis was chosen to analyze the data. In the study, the writer found 10 data. The data analysis revealed the findings which covered the formulated research questions. Firstly, the data were classified into 4 characteristics of idiolect, those were 2 data belong to pronunciation, 4 data belong to grammar, 2 data belong to vocabulary, and 2 data belong to style used by Oprah Winfrey and Edward Lawson in Oprah Winfrey Show. Secondly, the writer explained factors that influenced idiolects to happen in Oprah Winfrey Show. The writer found 1 data belong to family factor, 1 data belong to regional factor, and 8 data belong to occupational factor. There were no data for age factor in Oprah Winfrey Show.
