    Abstraction

    The Hate U Give is one of best young adult novel by Angie Thomas. This novel is one of interesting novels to analyze. It tells about injustice treated by Whites to Black People in that time. This study aimed to analyze Black People as minorities in Garden Height who get badly treatment by Whites. This study focuses on discrimination of Black People is caused by the Whites. This study used qualitative research because same with the features of qualitative design that the data collecting was done simultaneously with the data analysis. The source of data was taken from a novel by Angie Thomas entitled The Hate U Give. The data were in the form of utterances of the characters and explanation of the narrator. There are three processes in technique of analyzing data; data reduction, data display, and drawing the conclusion. After analyzing the novel, the results of the study are (1) Stereotypes to Black people in that areas give many problems for society. (2) Discrimination are still happened in Black people areas. (3) Racial Discrimination gave many effects to Black people and to the other people in areas. Therefore, Black people endure their hard life because they do not have an opportunity to get equal life with the Whites.
