    Abstraction

    ABSTARCT Pittacus Lore’ s I am Number Four is a novel which shows the domination of Mogadorian to Lorien planet in its story. This novel describes the ways of Mogadorian’s to dominate Lorien planet. The domination of Mogadorians to the people through two ways, violence and repression. Hence, two statements of research questions are appropriate this study. They are: how is the domination of Mogadorians portrayed in the novel and what are the effects of the domination in the novel. Then hegemony theory is used to analyze the novel. In this this theory, it is explained how they ways people dominate others. there are two forms of domination in hegemony theory, they are violence and repression, from of violence and repression are based on hegemony theory by Louis Althusser. Additionally, this study uses qualitative research design to observe the data in the form of words. Thus, after analyzing the novel, it can be concluded that Mogadorians dominates Lorien planet to conquer the universe and gets the natural recources by killing the nine Garde. Therefore, there are some effects arises that feel by the main characters and everyone in the Lorien planet who are killed by the domination of Mogadorians.
