ABSTRACT This study focuses on attitude of the main character in Red Leaves by Thomas H. Cook. The analysis of this novel uses the theory of Psychological types that focuses on the attitudes. It also explains the types of Eric Moore’s Attitude represented in his surrounding and the effect of Eric Moore’s attitude on his family. This study is conducted by using qualitative research design. The source of data of this study is a novel entitled Red Leaves by Thomas H. Cook. The writer uses character’s utterances and author’s narration as the data which portray attitude of character found in the novel. In analyzing the data, the writer uses descriptive qualitative design to discuss and answer the research problem. There are four processes in analyzing the data; they are data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion and verification. From the discussion, it can be concluded from the four types of attitude, Eric Moore attitude can be classified into introversion attitude. Those four types of attitude are: thinks, feels, senses, intuition. Furthermore, Eric was passive and only kept his ideas inside his mind. The effect shows in his family are, Keith who was become more closed person to Eric and Meredith as his wife who always makes argument with him.
