Abstract The aims of this research are to discover the effects of child abuse trauma on Cassandra and to elaborate the processes of healing Cassandra’s child abuse trauma in Torey Hayden’s Twilight Children. This research uses Psychological trauma theory to analyze the seource of data. Qualitative research method is applied in order to conduct this research. The processes of collecting the data are done by reading the source of data several times and selecting the data to answer the research question. Meanwhile, the processes of analysing the data are done reducing the data, displaying the data, and; conclusion and verification. The result of this study elaborates the effects of child abuse trauma and the processes of healing the trauma that occured to Cassandra. This reseach discovers several effects of child abuse trauma to Cassandra which are crisis in are crisis in relationship with others, memory loss of certain period, becoming aggressive, self-harm, developing constant alertness, and making up stories. Moreover, in order to heal the trauma, the processes are establishing the safety, remembering and mourning, and reconnecting with ordinary life.
