Parkir merupakan suatu proses yang mana kendaraan berhenti pada tempat-tempat tertentu baik yang dinyatakan dengan rambu atau tidak, serta tidak semata-mata untuk kepentingan menaikkan atau menurunkan orang dan atau barang. Permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi di tempat parkir Universitas Trunojoyo Madura adalah tempat parkir tidak strategis, tata letak tempat parkir yang tidak tertata dengan rapi, kapasitas tempat parkir yang tidak memadai, tempat parkir yang masih belum memiliki atap, parkir liar yang terjadi di bahu jalan ataupun sembarang tempat, jalanan parkir yang mengalami kerusakan, dan permasalahan atas diberlakukannya peraturan-peraturan tertentu oleh beberapa pihak yang bersangkutan. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain untuk mengetahui jumlah kapasitas tempat parkir Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, mengetahui jumlah kebutuhan tempat parkir untuk Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, merencanakan penataan tempat parkir di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Metode penyelesaian yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menghitungan Kebutuhan Ruang Parkir berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang telah disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan lahan parkir. Untuk Gedung RKB-F diketahui bahwa kapasitas parkir yang tersedia sebesar 182,632 m2 (sebelah barat) dan 373,658 m2 (sebelah timur). Kebutuhan Ruang Parkir untuk Gedung RKB-F sebelah barat sebesar 354 m2 dan sebelah timur sebesar 492 m2.

Parking is a process by which the vehicle stops at certain places whether expressed by signs or not, and not solely for the interest of raising or lowering people and or goods. The problems that occur in the parking lot of Trunojoyo Madura University are the non-strategic parking lot, the uncluttered parking lot layout, the inadequate parking capacity, the parking lot which still has no roof, the illegal parking on the shoulder of the road or any place, damaged roads, and problems with the enforcement of certain rules by certain parties. The purpose of this research is to know the amount of parking capacity of Trunojoyo Madura University, to know the amount of parking space needed for Trunojoyo Madura University, to plan the parking lot arrangement at Trunojoyo Madura University. Method of completion is done by calculating the Need of Parking Space based on observations that have been adjusted to the availability of parking lots. For RKB-F Building it is known that available parking capacity is 182,632 m2 (west side) and 373,658 m2 (east). Parking Space Requirement for Building RKB-F west of 354 m2 and east of 492 m2.
