    Terumbu karang mempunyai banyak permasalahan diantaranya yaitu penyakit karang. Salah satu dari penyakit karang yang menginfeksi karang jenis Fungia sp. di pulau Gili Labek adalah White Plague Disease (WPD). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus-Desember 2017. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bakteri yang berasosiasi dengan karang Fungia sp. yang berfungsi sebagai anti bakteri. Pada pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel karang sehat, mengidentifikasi sampel karang dan pengukuran parameter kondisi perairan. Adapun analisa uji overlay dan difusi agar dilaboratorium meliputi isolasi bakteri, ekstraksi DNA, amplifikasi DNA, elektroforesis, skuensing dan analisa filogenetik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga isolat bakteri yang berhasil diidentifikasi berdasarkan ciri morfologi. Dari hasil uji aktifitas Ke-tiga isolat tersebut menunjukkan bahwa nilai pertumbuhan rata-rata dalam 3 hari yaitu, diameter zona hambat isolat (F1) 10-5 1 sebesar 0,143 mm, (F2) 10-7 2 sebesar 0,165 mm, dan (F3) 10-10 1 sebesar 0,207 mm. Ke-tiga isolat ini kemudian di analisis menggunakan program Mega 7. Berdasarkan hasil BLAST menunjukkan bahwa isolat bakteri (F1) 10-5 1 mempunyai kemiripan sebesar 100% dengan bakteri Bacillus subtilisub, (F2) 10-7 2 mempunyai kemiripan sebesar 100% dengan bakteri Virgibacillus salarius dan (F3) 10-101 mempunyai kemiripan sebesar 88% dengan bakteri Bacillus licheniformis. Hasil analisa Philogenetic isolat (F1) 10-5 1 tergolong dalam spesies yang sama dengan Bacillus subtilis strain dengan nilai bootstrap 100%. Isolat (F2) 10-7 2 tergolong dalam spesies yang sama dengan Virgibacillus salarius dengan nilai bootstrap 100% isolat (F3) 10-101 tergolong dalam spesies yang sama dengan bebeapa outgroup dan bakteri Bacillus lichenifirmis, Bacillus aerius strain, Bacillus licheniformis strain, Bacillus sonorensis strain, Bacillus paralicheniformis strain, Bacillus atrophaeus strain, Bacillus axarquiensis strain, Bacillus nematocida strain, Bacillus velezensis strain, Bacillus andreesenii strain, Bacillus songklensis strain, Bacillus fengqiuensis strain, Bacillus testis strain, dan Bacillus onubensis strain.     Abstraction

    Coral reefs have many problems including coral disease. One of the coral diseases that infects Fungia sp. on Gili Labek is White Plague Disease (WPD). This study was conducted in August-December 2017. This study aimed to determine the type of bacteria associated with Fungia sp. which functions as an anti-bacterial. Data collection was carried out by sampling healthy corals, identifying coral samples and measuring parameters of water conditions. As for overlay and diffusion test analysis so that the laboratory includes bacterial isolation, DNA extraction, DNA amplification, electrophoresis, sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. The results showed that there were three bacterial isolates that were identified based on morphological characteristics. From the results of the activity test, the three isolates showed that the average growth value in 3 days, namely the diameter of the isolate zone (F1) 10-5 1 was 0.143 mm, (F2) 10-7 2 by 0.165 mm, and (F3 ) 10-10 1 of 0.207 mm. The three isolates were then analyzed using the Mega 7 program. Based on the results of BLAST showed that bacterial isolates (F1) 10-5 1 had 100% similarities with Bacillus subtilisub bacteria, (F2) 10-7 2 having 100% similarities with Virgibacillus salarius and (F3) 10-101 bacteria have similarities of 88% with Bacillus licheniformis bacteria. The results of Philogenetic analysis isolates (F1) 10-5 1 belong to the same species as Bacillus subtilis strain with 100% bootstrap value. Isolates (F2) 10-7 2 belong to the same species as Virgibacillus salarius with bootstrap values of 100% isolates (F3) 10-101 belonging to the same species as some bacterial outgroups, namely Bacillus lichenifirmis, Bacillus aerius strains, Bacillus licheniformis strains, Bacillus sonorensis strains, Bacillus paralicheniformis strains, Bacillus atrophaeus strains, Bacillus axarquiensis strains, Bacillus nematocida strains, Bacillus velezensis strains, Bacillus andreesenii strains, Bacillus songklensis strains, Bacillus fengqiuensis strains, Bacillus testis strains, and Bacillus onubensis strains.
