ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode bercerita fabel terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf anak kelompok B di TK AZ-ZAHIROH Manyar Gresik. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode eksperimental dengan model Pre Experimental Design One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian perkembangan kemampuan mengenal huruf anak kelompok B di TK AZ-ZAHIROH Manyar Gresik hasil pretest menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 9 anak yang tergolong kriteria belum berkembang (BB), serta 9 anak yang tergolong kriteria mulai berkembang (MB). Sedangkan perkembangan kemampuan mengenal huruf anak sesudah perlakuan hasil posttest menggunakan metode bercerita fabel terdapat 7 anak masuk kategori berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH), 11 anak masuk kategori berkembang sangat baik (BSB). Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis data uji bertanda Wilcoxon dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai Thitung yaitu 0 dan nilai Ttabel 40 maka 0 < 40 dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara metode bercerita fabel terhadap kemampuan mengenal huruf anak kelompok B di TK AZ-ZAHIROH Manyar Gresik. AbstractionABSTRACT The purpose of this study is whether or not the existence of the method of telling fable to the ability to recognize the letters of children group B in TK AZ-ZAHIROH Manyar Gresik. In this research, the researcher uses quantitative approach of experimental method with Pre Experimental Model of Design One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data collection in this research using two techniques that is observation and documentation. The results of the research of the development of the ability to recognize the letters of the group B children in the AZ-ZAHIROH TK Manyar Gresik pretest results show that there are 9 children belonging to the criteria not developed (BB), as well as 9 children belonging to criteria began to grow (MB). While the development of the ability to recognize the letters of children after the treatment of posttest results using the method of storytelling fable there are 7 children in the category developed according to expectation (BSH), 11 children are in very good developing category (BSB). Data processing uses Wilcoxon marked test data analysis with a significant level of 5%. The result of data analysis obtained by Thitung value is 0 and Ttable 40 then 0 <40 and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there is a significant influence between the story telling method fable to the ability to recognize the letters of children group B in TK AZ-ZAHIROH Manyar Gresik.
