Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis Etnosains (MPBE) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental design dan dilaksanakan di SMP N 2 Socah Bangkalan dengan populasi siswa kelas VII Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: hasil nilai uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,032 lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang diartikan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis Etnosains (MPBE) terdapat pengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, hasil nilai rata-rata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 100% predikat sangat baik, hasil respon siswa sebesar 69,1% predikat baik. Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Etnosains (MPBE).
AbstractionThis study aims to determine the influence of Etnosains based learning model (MPBE) on the students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quasi experimental design methods which is implemented in SMP N 2 Socah Bangkalan with a population of this study was taken from VII grade in 2016/2017 academic year. The technique of collecting the sample uses purposive sampling. Based on the results of this study, the writer concludes that: the results of hypothesis test obtained a significance of 0.032 less than 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and H1 accepted which means that the Etnosains based learning model (MPBE) has an influence on the students’ critical thinking skills, the average result of learning implimentation is 100% which is in excellent predicate, the average result of the students' responses is 69.1% which is in good predicate. Keywords: critical thinking, PBI (Problem Based Instruction), etnosains approach.
