    Abstraksi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains siswa tingkat dasar (basic science process skills) yang meliputi aspek prediksi, observasi, klasifikasi, pengukuran, inferensi, dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi pengukuran. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one shot case study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 1 Kamal yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Data utama keterampilan proses sains siswa diperoleh dari hasil tes dan didukung oleh hasil observasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk melihat gambaran dari hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains dengan menggunakan kriteria daya serap, efektivitas pembelajaran, dan ketuntasan belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains dengan kriteria daya serap dan efektivitas pembelajaran yang diperoleh dari hasil tes mencapai 72% dengan kriteria baik. Sementara hasil observasi yang diperoleh mencapai 82% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kriteria ketuntasan belajar individu yang diperoleh dari hasil tes menunjukkan hanya 13 siswa dinyatakan tuntas sehingga secara klasikal persentasenya hanya mencapai 41% dan dinyatakan tidak tuntas. Sementara dari hasil observasi, ketuntasan belajar individu yang diperoleh menunjukkan 26 siswa dinyatakan tuntas sehingga ketuntasan klasikalnya mencapai 81% akan tetapi masih dinyatakan tidak tuntas.     Abstraction

    The aim of this study to measured student’s science process skills in basic level (basic science process skills) which were included aspect of prediction, observation, classification, measurement, inference, and communication in science learning on measurement material. Design of this study used one shot case study. The subjects of this study used student’s class VII-A SMPN 1 Kamal amounting 32 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The main data of student’s science process skills was obtained from the result of test and supported by the result of observation. The data analysis conducted descriptively to saw the description of the result of learning science process skills by using the absorption criteria, the effectiveness of learning, and the completeness of student learning. The result of study showed that the science process skills by the absorption criteria and the effectiveness of learning that was obtained from the result of test reached 72% with good criteria. While the result of observation that was obtained reached 82% with very good criteria. Completeness individual learning criteria that was obtained from the result of test showed only 13 students have completed than the percentage of completeness clasically reached only 41% and have declared uncompleted. While the result of observation, completeness individual learning that was obtained to showed 26 students have completed than the completeness classically reached 81% but still have declared uncompleted.
