Dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia, teknologi sangat berperan dalam perkembangan pendidikan di indonesia. Tidak terkecuali teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Salah satu contoh penerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang mulai banyak dilakukan di disekolah adalah dengan merancang dan membuat sistem penilaian siswa berbasis online. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem informasi rapor online berbasis web menggunakan framework codeigniter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan studi pengolah nilai di SMP Negeri 3 Kamal. Sekolah ini dipilih karena masih menggunakan konten lama berupa aplikasi macro dari excel yang masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan dan masih banyak terdapat bug atau kecacatan sistem, serta dicetak dalam bentuk hardfile berupa buku rapor konvensional. Dalam penggunaannya guru-guru masih mengalami banyak kendala yang disebabkan oleh kecacatan sistem tersebut. Dari permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya sistem informasi rapor online berdasarkan kurikulum K13 yang mempermudah dalam hal mengelola penilaian dan memantau perkembangan nilai siswa. Prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam proses pembuatan sistem informasi rapor online adalah model penelitian waterfall. Terdiri dari Requirement (Analisis Kebutuhan), Design System (Desain Produk), Coding and Testing (Implementasi), Integration and Testing (Pengujian), Operation and Maintenance (Pemeliharaan). Berdasarkan hasil dari kuisioner uji ahli dengan aspek usability mendapatkan hasil 82% uji coba lapangan mendapatkan hasil 87%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi rapor online berbasis web menggunakan framework codeigniter layak untuk diterapkan dan digunakan sebagai sistem informasi rapor online di SMP Negeri 3 Kamal. In Indonesia, technology has a big role towards the development of education. No exception for information and communication texhnology. On of the example of the application of information and communication technology in school is designing and developing an online based student scoring system. Thus, this research aims at designing and developing web based online report information system using codeigniter framework. The type of this research is development research by using score processing study in SMP Negeri 3 Kamal. This school is appropriatefor this research because it still uses the old version of scoring system which is in the form of macro application of excel that still has deficiency like bug or system errors, and it still use hardfile of conventional academic repor. In the appication of this system, teachers tend to find numerous obstacles caused by system errors. Concerning to these problems, system information of online academic report following curriculum of K13 is appropriate for facilitating scoring management and monitoring students’ scores progress. Development procedure used in the process of designing online report information system in this research is waterfall model. It cosists of requirement (requirements analysis), Design System (product design), Coding and Testing (Implementation), Itegration and Testing (Testing), Operation and Maintenance (product maintenance). As a result, the questionaires of usability aspect show the prosentation of success is 82% and the questionaires of user accepment show the prosentation of success is 87%. This can be concluded that this web based online report information system using codeigniter framework is appropriate for SMP Negeri 3 Kamal.
