Elementary School Teacher Education Program, Faculty of Education, University of Trunojoyo Madura. Advisor I : Priyono Tri Febrianto, S. Sos., M.Si. Advisor II : Rika Wulandari, S.Pd., M.Pd. ABSTRACT This research was a qualitative descriptive research which was held at SDN Banyuajuh 2 Kamal. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Subjects were a headmaster, class teachers, extracurricular teachers and also a few students. This research aimed to describe an application of students’ character education through culture of 6 S (Senyum, Salam, Sapa, Sopan, Santun, Silaturahmi) at SDN Banyuajuh 2 Kamal, which are : (1) teacher’s understanding about the intrinsic meaning of character education, (2) values of the culture of 6 S, (3) activities in the culture of 6 S. Result of this research was this school applied the culture of 6 S (Senyum, Salam, Sapa, Sopan, Santun, Silaturahmi). (1) The teachers understood well about the intrinsic meaning of character education, (2) values which was in the culture of 6 S were loving peace, tolerancing, and caring about social life, (3) activities of the culture of 6 S was did in many self-development program, they were : routine and spontaneous activities, exemplariness and conditioning. Activities of this culture was also applied in many class learning and extracurricular activities. Keywords : Character Education, Culture of 6S (Senyum, Salam, Sapa, Sopan, Santun, Silaturahmi)
