    Abstraksi

    Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui (1) Pemahaman warga sekolah terhadap siaga bencana banjir, (2) Pelaksanaan pendidikan siaga bencana banjir di sekolah dasar, dan (3) program sekolah dalam memberikan pemahaman siaga bencana banjir. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan peran sekolah dasar dalam memberikan pemahaman siaga bencana banjir. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) warga sekolah memahami bahwa bencana banjir yang terjadi di Blega tidak berbahaya bagi keselamatan jiwa, (2) pelaksanaan pendidikan siaga bencana di sekolah dasar melalui peran mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) dan Estrakurikuler Pramuka yang mengajarkan tentang materi tentang siaga bencana banjir, dan (3) sekolah tidak memiliki fasilitas alat siaga bencana banjir serta sekolah tidak pernah mengadakan pelatihan simulasi siaga bencana banjir yang bertujuan memberikan pemahaman siaga bencana banjir Kata kunci: Peran sekolah, pemahaman, bencana banjir.

    Abstraction

    The purpose of this study were to know (1) comprehension of the school's members on flood alert, (2) Implementation of flood disaster preparedness education in elementary school, (3) school program in giving comprehension of flood disaster alert. This research was descriptive qualitative research. This study described the role of elementary school in providing comprehension of flood disaster alert. The subjects of this study were headmaster, teachers and students. Techniques of collecting data used interview sheets, observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that: (1) the school’s member understand that the flood disaster occurring in Blega was not harmful, (2) the implementation of disaster preparedness education in elementary school through the role of natural sciences subject. Scouting also taught the students about flood disaster alert. In addition, character building education taught them about flood disaster preparedness through slogan and teacher's advice, (3) the school do not have flood disaster preparedness facilities and the school never conducted disaster simulation training for flood disaster which aimed in providing comprehension of flood disaster preparedness.
