    Abstraksi

    Pengembangan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru dalam membantu proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Matematika serta kurang menariknya buku ajar sehingga kurang menarik siswa dalam belajar matematika. Sumber belajar berupa bahan ajar dan media merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan, kemenarikan, keefektifan dan keterterapan buku ajar matematika berbasis sempoa. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model ASSURE yang terdiri tahapannya yaitu menganalisis karakteristik siswa (analyze learner characteristics); menetapkan tujuan pembelajaran (state objective); memilih metode, media dan bahan ajar (select methods, media and learning material); Menggunakan Media dan Bahan Ajar (Utilize Media and Material); mengaktifkan keterlibatan siswa (require learner participation); evaluasi dan revisi (evaluation and revision). Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil kelayakan validasi ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 85,33% (Sangat Valid), validasi ahli media pembelajaran (sempoa) sebesar 80% (Valid) , validasi ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 78,46% (Valid), dan validasi ahli materi sebesar 76,92% (Valid). Keefektifan buku ajar matematika berbasis sempoa dilihat dari dilihat dari lembar observasi aktivitas guru 86,40 % (Sangat Efektif) dan aktivitas siswa 82,07% (Efektif). Kemenarikan dari uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh hasil 93,33% (Sangat Menarik) dan uji coba lapangan 96% (Sangat Menarik). Keterterapan buku ajar matematika diperoleh hasil 89,33% (Sangat Valid).     Abstraction

    This development was motivated by the limitations of learning media used by teachers and the less interesting of mathematics textbooks that decrease the students’ interest in learning mathematics. Learning resources in the form of teaching materials and media is one of the important factors in the learning process. This development aims to determine the feasibility, attractiveness, effectiveness and the application of mathematics based on abacus. This development use ASSURE model which consists of analyzing student characteristic (analyze learner characteristics); maintening learning objective (state objective); choosing methods, media and teaching materials (select methods, media and learning materials); Using Media and Materials (Utilize Media and Materials); activating the students involvement (require learner participation); evaluation and revision. Based on the research, the result of the validation of the expert of learning media was 85.33% (Very Valid), the validation of the learning media (abacus) was 80% (Valid), validation of the learning design expert was 78,46% (Valid), and validation expert was 76,92% (Valid). The effectiveness of the abacus-based mathematics textbook could be seen from the observation sheet teacher activity that was 86.40% (Very Effective) and the student activity was 82.07% (Effective). The attractiveness of the small group trial was 93.33% (Very Interesting) and the field trial was 96% (Very Interesting . The utilization of the mathematics textbook was 89, 33% (Very Valid).
