ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa kelas III-B di SDN Bligo Sidoarjo yang sudah diterapkan selama satu semester oleh guru kelas III-B. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick pada mata pelajaran IPS materi kerjasama di lingkungan sekitar, Untuk mengetahui apa kelebihan dan kekurangan dalam mengimplementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick pada mata pelajaran IPS materi kerjasama di lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimuplkan bahwa (1)guru membuat semua siswa terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, membuat siswa aktif serta tidak takut untk menyampaikan pendapat (2) kelebihan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick mampu membangkitkan semangat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS, siswa lebih giat lagi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, siswa terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sedangkan kekuranganya membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, siswa yang tidak siap tidak bisa menjawab pertanyaan, siswa menjadi tegang/gugup saat mendapatkan pertanyaan. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran, Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial.
AbstractionAbstract This research related to implementation of cooperatif learning model with talking stick type in social studies lessons for student of class III-B at SDN Bligo Sidoarjo, which this model had been applied for one semester by the teacher. This research aimed to know the implementation of cooperatif learning model with talking stick type about it using in social studies lessonsn at chapter cooperation in neighbourhoods, and also about to know what losses and benefits when they implemented this cooperatif learning model with this type in social studies lessons at chapter cooperatif in neighbourhoods. The research used design of qualitative descriptive research. Data collecting was done by using some techniques, interview, observation and documentation. Based on analysis result, it had got some summaries, such as: 1) the teacher made alls students involved in learning activites, made their opinions actively and briefly, 2) the benefit point of this learning model and its type were: adequate enhanced students’ entusiasm in social studies lessons, the students learned more vigorous at their class, the student could involve themselves in classroom learning activities. Meanwhile, the loss points of this learning of this learning model within its type were: it took a long time to finish this learning activities at class, some unready students could not attend and answer questions of their teacher correctly, the students felt and were very tense and nervous when got some question from their teacher.
