Abstrak Peran guru dalam melestarikan kebudayaan yang terdapat di masyarakat sangat penting, karena guru memiliki perana yang penting ditengah-tengah masyarakat. Peranan guru dalam kehidupan masyarakat sangat dibutuhkan untuk memberikan pencerahan dan kemajuan pola kehidupan masyarakat. Kebudayaan batik merupakan kebudayaan yang terdapat di desa Tanjung Bumi yang diperoleh masyarakat dari hasil belajar dan diajarkan secara terus menerus kepada generasi muda. Tujuan dalam penilitan ini adalah Mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam melestarikan kebudayaan batik di UPTD SDN Tanjung Bumi 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru yang mengajar batik dan siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Teknik pngumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh (1) Guru melakukan pelestarian kebudayaan batik dengan cara mengajarkan batik kepada siswa di sekolah. Dalam mengajarkan batik guru mengajarkan dasarnya saja. (2) Guru membimbing atau mendampingi siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam kegiatan batik. (3) Guru menyediakan media secara konkret dalam kegiatan batik dan guru menyediakan kebutuhan siswa dalam kegiatan membatik. (4) Dalam kegiatan batik ini belum memiliki ruang sendiri, sehingga untuk sementara menggunakan ruang kelas. (5) Guru melakukan penilaian pada akhir kegiatan batik. AbstractionABSTRACT The role of the teacher in preserving the culture which is found in the community is very important, because the teacher has an important role in the center of the community. The role of the teacher in community life is needed to provide enlightenment and progress in community life patterns. Batik culture is a culture which is found in the village of Tanjung Bumi. It is obtained by the community from the results of learning and being taught continuously to the younger generation. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of teachers in preserving batik culture in UPTD SDN Tanjung Bumi 1. This study used descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were teachers who taught batik and the students were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques which were used were interview, observation and documentation techniques. Research results obtained (1) Teachers preserved batik culture by teaching batik to students at school. In teaching batik, the teacher taught the basics. (2) The teacher guided or accompanied students who experienced difficulties in batik activities. (3) The teacher provided concrete media in batik activities and the teacher provided students' needs in batik activities. (4) The batik activity did not have its own room, so for the time being it used classrooms. (5) The teacher evaluated the students' work at the end of the batik activity.
