    ABSTRAK R.A Nouvi Tamama . 13.05.411.00007. Kesiapan Seorang Ibu yang Memiliki Anak Pertama Kembar. Skripsi. Program Studi Psikologi. Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Budaya. Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. 2018. XVII + 62 Halaman, 37 Lampiran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran kesiapan ibu yang memiliki anak pertama kembar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki anak pertama kembar berjumlah 2 orang. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kriteria subjek penelitian adalah ibu dengan anak pertama kembar dan dalam fase kanak-kanak awal. Teknik analisa data menggunakan Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini dengan aspek sosial menunjukkan pendidikan dan pekerjaan ibu mempengaruhi kesiapan menjadi seorang ibu untuk anak kembarnya dan cara pandang menanggapi permasalahan yang dihadapi kedepannya mengenai anak kembarnya. Aspek dalam kriteria psikologis ibu ada tiga hal yaitu, memberikan pengasuhan optimal mencakup rasa penghargaan diri orang tua, kemampuan mereka berhubungan dengan orang lain secara positif, dan saling memuaskan khususnya dengan pasangan serta kemampuan mereka dalam memutuskan masalah dengan fleksibel. Subjek merasa sangat puas dengan pelayanan yang diberi oleh pasangan masing-masing dan memiliki perasaan bangga. Subjek berhubungan baik dengan orang lain secara positif dan berusaha mencari informasi atau pengetahuan dengan cara bertanya kepada orang sekitar mengenai perawatan danpengasuhan anak. Hal kesiapan kognitif subjek dapat menjaga dan merawat anak kembarnya namun masih membutuhkan jasa bantuan orang lain. Hasil penelitian pada aspek gaya hidup sehat menunjukkan dari sejak awal subjek menjaga kehamilan dan menjauhkan diri dari hal yang membuat anak kembarnya terancam kesehatannya.     ABSTRACT R.A Nouvi Tamama. 13.05.411.00007. The Readiness of a Mother who has First Twin Children. Thesis. Psychology Study Program. Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences. University of Trunojoyo Madura. 2018. XVII+ 62 Pages, 37 Attachments. This study aims to acknowledge how the description of the readiness of a mother who has first twin children. This study uses Qualitative research methodology applying phenomenology approach. The respondents of this study are 2 mothers who have first twin children. The sampling of this study uses purposive sampling technique. The criteria of the research subject are the mother of the first twin children and they are in the early childhood phase. The technique of analyzing the data uses Miles and Huberman. The result of this study on the social aspect demonstrates the mother’s education and job affecting the readiness to be a mother to her twin children and having a point of view in responding the problems faced in the future regarding with her twin children. The aspects of psychological criteria of mothers are on three matters, those are; to provide the optimal parenting including the sense of parents’ self-esteem, their ability to interact to others positively, and to satisfy each other especially with their spouse and as well their ability in deciding the problem flexibly. The subjects feel very satisfied with the services given from their spouses and feel proud. The subjects well-interact to others positively and struggle to find the information or the knowledge by asking to people around about child’s caring and nurturing. The subjects’ cognitive readiness is able to maintain and take care for their twin children, yet they still need others’ help. The result of this research on the healthy lifestyle aspect demonstrates that since the early period when the subjects have their pregnancy and distanced themself from the things which make their twin children’s health is threatened.
