This study aims to explain the communicative function of interjection found in Angry Bird movie produced by Sony Pictures Image works in 2016. This study purposes to analyze the concept of interjection in both of the types and the communicative functions found in Angry Bird movie. The writer used the theory proposed by Ameka (1992) to analyze the types and the communicative functions of interjection. In addition, this study uses the descriptive qualitative since the data are in the form of word especially from the utterance rather than in the form of number. The source of data are the utterance from the characters in Angry Bird movie. The data of this study are the utterances that contain the interjection word. The data are collected by using content analysis method. In this study, the writer found 40 data of interjection. The writer found 38 data belong to primary interjection and 8 data belong to secondary interjection. Based on all of those data, the writer classified 23 data contain expressive function, 10 data contain conative function, and 7 data contain phatic function. The result of this study revealed that the expressive function of interjection is frequently occurred. This study showed that the main communicative function of interjection is used to express the speaker’s mental state and emotion. Key Words: Pragmatics, Interjection, Types, Communicative Function
