    Abstraksi

    This study concentrates on the causes of Justine’s trauma and pathways leading Justine’s trauma to psychosis, which are depicted in Susan Lewis’ No Place To Hide. The writer chooses the novel as the source of data analysis because the novel achieves Sunday Times bestselling author and it conceives the reflection of human life’s problem therefore it is interesting to be analyzed. This study was done by applying a qualitative research design. The data of this study are the characters’ utterances and author narrations that depict the causes of Justine’s trauma and pathways lead Justine’s trauma to psychosis in No Place To Hide. There were four steps in compiling the data in this study; collecting, reducing, interpreting and concluding. This study used psychology of literature approach by applying Morrison and Larkin’s trauma and psychosis theory. The results of this study represent the causes of trauma which is experienced by Justine in No Place To Hide novel, those are emotionally and socially threatening. Then, the other result is the pathway which is found as the leading cause Justine’s trauma to psychosis. There are four pathways which are found; Dissociative Pathway, Fantasy Solution Pathway, Denial Pathway, and To Surrender To Higher Power. Keyword : Trauma, Psychosis, No Place To Hide
