This study focuses on the types and the syllabic structures that cause the occurrence of suffixation geminates found in the Pakem Maddhu magazine. This study aims to explain the types of gemination as the result of suffixation found in Pakem Maddhu magazine proposed by Davies (2010) and Sofyan (2007) and the syllabic structures that cause the occurrence of suffixation geminates proposed by Oka (1988) found in Pakem Maddhu magazine. This study is conducted by applying a descriptive qualitative research design. The source of the data of this study is Pakem Maddhu magazine from 46th edition that was published in September 12th, 2016 and the data which are collected from this magazine are in the form of Madurese words which contain gemination as the result of suffixation. The data are collected by using content analysis method. The writer found 39 data. The data analysis reveals the findings covering the formulated research questions. Firstly, the types of gemination as the result of suffixation are demonstrated by 19 data which belong to gemination as the result of suffix -na, 12 data which belong to gemination as the result of suffix -aghi, 6 data which belong to gemination as the result of suffix –a, 1 data which belong to gemination as the result of suffix -ana and 1 data which belong to gemination as the result of suffix –è. Secondly, the syllabic structures that caused the occurance of suffixation geminates are demonstrated by 39 data which belong to CVC syllabic structure.
