This study focuses on jargon in Pasean fighting cock community. This study analyzes the types of jargon used by the members of Pasean fighting cock community, and the components of speech behind the form of jargon utterances in Pasean fighting cock community. The data are analyzed and classified based on the types of jargon proposed by Halligan (2004), and the components of speech behind the form of jargon utterances proposed by Hymes (1974). This study is conducted by using a descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data are the members of Pasean fighting cock community, while the data are the member’s utterances of Pasean fighting cock community that contain jargon. The method of collecting data used observation method. In the finding, the writer found 30 data which belong to jargons. The writer found three types of jargons. There are 26 data which belong to words, 2 data which belong to phrases, and 2 data which belong to abbreviations. The writer also found components of speech behind the form of jargon utterances in Pasean fighting cock community.
