The Goal of this study is to know how the hegemony and term of domination and the kind of domination apply in literature in this case is the 5th wave by rick yancey. The method of collecting data is close reading. The method of analyzing data is done in same time when the writer do close reading in case of this study is qualitative research This study is about how the alien race or call as “the other” dominate human or called as the survivor. The domination it self are doing in five different way or called as five wave. The result of this is the domination of the other has several type those are intellectual, moral and technology leadership. Those domination also has their own effect toward the survivor. All of domination above is has one goal to destroy human race and take over the earth
