Pengolahan gambar dengan menggunakan image processing merupakan salah satu metode untuk menentukan kualitas batu permata. Ada beberapa penentuan kualitas batu permata diantaranya yaitu color, clarity, carats, cutting, dan dengan skripsi ini saya akan menggunakan salah satu penentu kualitas pada batu permata blue saphire sri lanka berdasarkan warna. Kualitas warna pada batu blue sapphire ditentukan dengan menggunakan microscope digital dan raspberry pi 3 secara portable. Untuk memproses sebuah gambar dari batu blue sapphire saya menggunakan metode RGB to HSV, dan pemrogramannya menggunakan phyton dan open cv sebagai library. Tujuan skripsi ini untuk mengatasi permasalahan bagi orang awam atau penggemar batu permata blue sapphire yang baru pertama kali menggeluti pada bidang batu permata blue sapphire dalam menentukan warna yang berkualitas baik pada batu permata blue sapphire.
