Teluk Lamong merupakan pelabuhan sekaligus terminal bongkar muat barang yang berlokasi di perbatasan Gresik dan Surabaya. Pulau Poteran merupakan pulau di sebelah timur pulau Madura. Kedua lokasi ini merupakan lokasi dimana aktivitas manusia sangat padat. Segala bentuk aktivitas manusia sedikit banyak dapat memberi dampak terhadap lingkungan khususnya lingkungan laut. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dapat berupa masuknya material ke dalam ekosistem laut seperti nitrat dan fosfat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kadar nitrat dan fosfat di kedua lokasi, mengetahui fungsi nitrat dan fosfat adalah sebagai penyedia nutrient di Perairan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling, pengukuran kualitas air di lapang kemudian dianalisa di Laboratorium Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Trunojoyo Madura serta dikaitkan dengan pasang surut, arus, dan gelombang yang diperoleh dari BMKG. Data dari analisa yang diperoleh diolah dengan Uji-t menggunakan SPSS16. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa tidak ada perbedaan konsentrasi Nitrat dan fosfat di kedua lokasi penelitian. Rata-rata konsentrasi fosfat pada saat pasang di Pulau Poteran adalah 0,429 mg/l dan di Teluk Lamong adalah 0,331 mg/l, sedangkan pada saat surut di Pulau Poteran adalah 0,291 mg/l dan di Teluk Lamong adalah 0,569 mg/l. Nilai rata-rata konsentrasi nitrat di Pulau Poteran adalah 0,512 mg/l dan di Teluk Lamong adalah 0,678 mg/l. Hal ini disebabkan karena aliran arus di kedua lokasi. Di Teluk Lamong arus bergerak ke arah timur dengan kecepatan 0,03 m/s sedangkan di Pulau Poteran arus bergerak dari Selat Madura menuju Pulau Poteran dengan kecepatan 0,07 m/s yang membawa material nutrient. Namun, Nitrat pada kondisi surut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dimana rata-rata konsentrasi nitrat di Pulau Poteran adalah 0,59167 mg/l dan di Teluk Lamong adalah 1,02562 mg/l karena pengaruh pH. Pasang surut dan gelombang tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi nitrat dan fosfat. Kata Kunci: Nitrat dan Fosfat, Perbandingan, Teluk Lamong, Pulau Poteran

Lamong Bay is a port as well as loading and unloading terminal of goods located at the border of Gresik and Surabaya. Poteran Island is an island to the east of Madura Island. Both locations are the locations where human activity is very solid. All kinds of human activity can give some impacts to the environment, especially the marine environment. The impacts can be the entry of materials into marine ecosystems such as nitrates and phosphates. This study has objectives to determine the comparison of nitrate and phosphate levels in both locations, to know the function of nitrate and phosphate is as provider of nutrients in the water. The sampling used purposive sampling technique, water quality measurement in field then analyzed at Laboratory of Marine Science of University of Trunojoyo Madura and related with tidal, current, and wave obtained from BMKG. The data obtained from the analysis were processed by t-test using SPSS16. Based on the results of the study, it is obtained that there is no difference of Nitrate and Phosphate concentration in both research locations. The average concentration of phosphate at high tide in Poteran Island is 0,429 mg/l and in Lamong Bay is 0,331 mg/l, while at low tide in Poteran Island is 0,291 mg/l and in Lamong Bay is 0,569 mg/l. The average value of nitrate concentration in Poteran Island is 0,512 mg/l and in Lamong Bay is 0,678 mg/l. This is due to the flow of currents at both locations. In Lamong Bay, the current moves eastward at a speed of 0,03 m/s, while in Poteran Island, the current moves from Madura Strait towards Poteran Island at a speed of 0,07 m/s that carrying nutrient material. However, the Nitrate at low tide condition show that there is a significant difference in which the average concentration of nitrate in Poteran Island is 0,59167 mg/l and in Lamong Bay is 1,02562 mg/l because of the influence of pH.
