    Kacang bambara merupakan salah satu kacang-kacangan minor yang belum terlalu diperhatikan di Indonesia namun memiliki peran dalam program diversifikasi pangan. Biji kacang bambara mengandung gizi cukup tinggi diantaranya: protein 20.75%, karbohidrat 59.93%, 5.88% lemak, 10.43% air, dan 3.03% abu. Salah satu faktor yang menentukan pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang bambara adalah perbaikan teknik budidaya dengan cara optimasi populasi tanaman melalui pengaturan jarak tanam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm memberikan hasil panen tertinggi pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang bambara galur Gresik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari – Mei 2017 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non factorial dengan empat faktor jarak tanam dan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor jarak tanam terdiri atas empat taraf yaitu : (40 cm x 20 cm), (40 cm x 25 cm), (40 cm x 30 cm) dan (40 cm x 35 cm). Variabel pengamatan meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, indeks luas daun, berat kering brangkasan, jumlah polong, berat basah polong, berat kering polong dan berat biji. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm berpengaruh nyata terhadap peubah tinggi tanaman umur 12 (MST), indeks luas daun (ILD) umur 5, 7 dan 10 (MST), berat kering brangkasan per tanaman, berat biji kering tanaman kacang bambara. Jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm memberikan hasil panen tertinggi dan sesuai digunakan dalam budidaya kacang bambara galur Gresik.

    Abstraction

    Bambara groundnut is one of the minor beans which not concern in Indonesia but had a role in the food diversification program. The seeds of bambara groundnut contain high nutrients such as: protein 20.75%, carbohydrates 59.93%, 5.88% fat, 10.43% water, and 3.03% ash. One of the factors that determine the growth and yield of bambara groundnut is the improvement of cultivation techniques by optimizing the plant population through plant spacing. This research aimed to know determine the effect of plant spacing treatment 40 cm x 20 cm that gives the highest yield on the growth and yield of bambara groundnut plant furrow Gresik. The research was conducted from February to May 2017 at Trial Garden Agrotechnology departement, Agricultural Faculty University of Trunojoyo Madura. This research was conducted in randomized Block Design (RAK) non factorial with four factor plant spacing and three replications. Plant spacing consisted of four levels which is 40 cm x 20 cm, 40 cm x 25 cm, 40 cm x 30 cm and 40 cm x 35. Variabel observation included plant height, leaf number, leaf area index, dry weight of stem, number of pods, weight of wet pod, weight of dry pod and weight of dry seed. The result of this research showed that plant spacing 40 cm x 20 cm effected significantly the number plant height age of 12 (MST), leaf area index (ILD) age of 5, 7 and 10 (MST), plant dry weight per plant, dry seed weight of bambara groundnut plant. Plant spacing 40 cm x 20 cm produced the greatest number yields and suitable in plant cultivation of bambara groundnut furrow Gresik
