Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kerapatan konidia cendawan Beuveria bassiana yang efektif untuk mengendalikan hama daun sawi Plutella xylostella stadia larva instar III dan instar IV. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017 di Laboratorium Balai Besar Perbenihan dan Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan (BBPPTP) Surabaya yang terletak di Kecamatan Mojoagung Kabupaten Jombang. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan 7 perlakuan yaitu B0 (Kontrol), B1 (Kerapatan 105 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar III), B2 (Kerapatan 106 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar III), B3 (Kerapatan 107 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar III), B4 (Kerapatan 105 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar IV), B5 (Kerapatan 106 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar IV) dan B6 (Kerapatan 107 konidia/mL diinokulasikan pada larva instar IV). Data pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analisis Of Variance (ANOVA), kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Duncan (? 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kerapatan 107 konidia/mL berpengaruh terhadap variabel mortalitas, kecepatan kematian, tingkat kerusakan pakan, dan berat pupa. Mortalitas tertinggi akibat infeksi Beauveria bassiana kerapan 107 konidia/mL pada larva instar III 76% dan instar IV 86%.
AbstractionThis research aimed to find out the density of spores of Beauveria bassiana fungus which was effective to control mustard leaf's pest of Plutella xylostella at third and fourth larval instar. The research was conducted from January to March 2017 at the Public Center Laboratory of Seedling and Plant Protection Surabaya, located in Mojoagung, Jombang, East Java. The experiment employed non factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 7 treatments which were Control (B0), 105 spores/mL (B1), 106 spores/mL (B2), 107 spore/mL (B3) inoculated on the third and fourth larval instar. Each treatment was reoeated for three replications. Data were analyzed by Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA), and the difference among means was analysed by Duncan advanced test (p = 0,05). The results showed that the density of 107 spores/mL had significantly effect on enhancing mortality and death rate as well as feed damage rate, and weight of pupa. The highest mortality due to Beauveria bassiana infection at 107 spores/mL on the third and fourth larval instar was 76% and 86% respectively.
