Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui mengenai peran perempuan pesisir di Desa Prenduan dalam mengoptimalkan kedudukannya yang bukan hanya ibu rumah tangga tetapi mampu membantu meningkatkan ekonomi rumah tangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Ada 10 responden istri-istri nelayan diambil sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh data bahwa peran perempuan di Desa Prenduan bukan hanya menjadi ibu rumah tangga tetapi ikut berpartisipasi menambah pendapatan rumah tangga keluarganya. Dalam pembagian peran untuk rumah tangga sudah terlihat jelas. Partisipasi perempuan pesisir Desa Prenduan yaitu dengan memiliki usaha sampingan agar meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Keikutsertaan perempuan pesisir Desa Prenduan diwujudkan dalam sektor ibu rumah tangga, berdagang, serta kegiatan sosial. Kebutuhan yang dialami perempuan pesisir yaitu perlu adanya bantuan modal usaha bagi industri rumahan agar kualitas produk dapat menunjang pendapatan keluarga. Adanya tempat pelelangan khusus yang disediakan oleh pemerintah agar harga ikan naik sehingga pendapatan rumah tangga meningkat. Jika pendapatan rumah tangga meningkat maka perempuan pesisir tidak perlu lagi melakukan akivitas di luar rumah.

The purpose of this research is to know more about the role of women in the coastal villages Prenduan in optimizing the position that not only housewife but able to help improve the economy of the household. This research uses qualitative methods deskriptif. There are ten respondents of wives of fishermen taken as a sample of research. The sampling techniques purposive sampling. Data collection is done with the technique of observation, interview and documentation. The validity of the data in this research using the technique of triangulation. In this study obtained data that the role of women in the village of Prenduan not only a housewife but participating increase household income his family. In the division of roles for household is clearly seen. Coastal Villages Prenduan women participation is to have a side business in order to improve the welfare of the family. The participation of women the coastal villages Prenduan realized in the sector housewife, trade and social activities. The needs of women is experiencing the coastal area is necessary to business capital assistance for cottage industries so that the quality of the product can support the family income. The Existence of special auction center provided by the government that the prices of fish up until the household income increased. If the household income increased and coastal women no longer need to do akivitas outside the house.
