Dalam suatu proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, kreativitas guru sangatlah diperlukan. Seorang guru harus mampu untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga dapat memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran serta proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA di SDN Banyuajuh 6 (studi kasus guru kelas IV sampai VI). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Informan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas IV, kelas V, dan kelas VI dalam mata pelajaran IPA SDN Banyuajuh 6. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian direduksi, dan ditriangulasikan, kemudian dianalisis oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa hal yang berkaitan dengan kreativitas guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran saat proses pembelajaran IPA. Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran di SDN Banyuajuh 6 masih minim karena guru kurang fokus dengan tanggung jawabnya di sekolah. Guru juga jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran IPA di SDN Banyuajuh 6 pada saat pembelajaran. Ada beberapa hal yang membuat guru kurang kreatif dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA yaitu kurang fokus dalam mengajar disekolah yakni dikarenakan kesibukan guru di luar kepentingan sekolah, rasa malas yang dimiliki oleh guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran, tidak adanya Lab IPA di SDN Banyuajuh 6 dan tidak ada pelatihan tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran dengan kreatif yang diikuti oleh guru
AbstractionIn the learning process in Elementary school, teacher’s creativity is truly required. Teacher has to be able to develop the attractive instructional media , so that it can make the students easier to learn the matter and make the learning process becomes more attractive. The purpose of this research aims to determine the teacher’s creativity in developing the Science instructional media in State Elementary School of Banyuajuh 6 (Study on the Fourth Grade teacher, until Sixth Grade teacher). This research applies the Descriptive Qualitative Approach. The informants of this research are teachers who teach Science in the Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, and Sixth Grade in State Elementary School of Banyuajuh 6. Data collecting techniques are interview, observation, and documentation. The data which has been collected is then reduced and triangulated before it is analyzed by the researcher. The result of this research show that there are some related matters with the creativity of teacher in developing the instructional media in the science learning process. The teacher’s ability in developing the instructional media in State Elementary School of Banyuajuh 6 was lack, because the teachers were not focussed on their responsibility at school. So that, in the Science learning process at State Elementary School of Banyuajuh 6, teachers use Science instructional media infrequently. There are several things that make the teachers do not focus on teaching in school, such as; teachers are more concerned with the personal interests which are not related to the interest of school, the laziness of teacher to develop the instructional media, the unavailability of the Science Laboratory in State Elementary School of Banyuajuh 6, and the unavailability of the instructional media development’s training that can be followed by the teacher.
