    This study focuses on the errors committed by Madurese students of speaking class 2 in English Department of Trunojoyo University, Madura, in pronouncing consonant sounds by using Error Analysis approach. The aims are to explain the types of errors in pronouncing consonant sounds and the causes of errors occured. This study was conducted by applying descriptive qualitative research design to describe the phenomena that can be grabbed and analyzed from the data. The data of this study are the words in which the associated consonant sounds are mispronounced. They were collected through the content analysis method by transcribing the students’ pronunciation from pronunciation tasks that had been asked to read beforehand. The writer uses the theory of Dulay (1982) in answering thet types of errors, and Brown’s theory (2000) to answer the second research problem related with the causes of errors. The data analysis reveals that from 175 words, 71 consist of consonant errors. Based on the types of errors, they are categorized into three types: 3 data for addition, 15 data for omission and 53 for misformation. Based on the causes of errors, the data are categorized into two: 20 data belong to intralingual, and 51 data belong to interlingual errors.
