Abstract: This study is aimed to discussed the life narrative of Irshad Manji’s Allah, Liberty and Love. The analysis of this book uses the theory interpreting life narrative focuses on the elements of reading Autobiography. This study aims to explain the elements of interpreting life narrative that exists in Irshad Manji’s book Allah, Liberty and Love. It also aims to explain the intention of Irshad Manji in writing and publishing Allah, Liberty and Love.This study is conducted by applying a qualitative research design since the data are in the form of words. The source of data of this study is a book entitled Allah, Liberty and Love. The data are utterances of Manji in the book and the response of the reader that related to the interpreting life narrative. In analyzing the data, the writer uses qualitative data analysis. Since this study concerns on the life narrative of the author, thus the study uses theory which are proposed by Sidonie Smith and Julia Watson.From the discussion, there are five elements of interpreting life narrative that exist in Irshad Manji’sAllah, Liberty and Love. They are: Memory, Experience, Identity, Embodiment and Agency. The intention of Irshad Manji in writing and publishing Allah, Liberty and Love are, Manji wants to introduce, voice and spread her conscience and new thought in society. Manji wants to give critic of Moslem’s culture. The last, Manji wants others societies follow and believe to her thought. Keywords: Life Narrative, Author, Elements of Life Narrative, Intentions.
