This study focuses on slang language that is found in Scout Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse movie directed by Christopher Beau Landon 2015. The aims of this study are to discuss the types and the functions of slang language used in the movie. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The research instrument of this study was the writer himself. The data of this study were the utterances that contain slang language, which are found in Scout Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse movie. The data was collected by using content analysis method. In analyzing the data, the writer used interactive data analysis. This study used two theories proposed by Eric Partridge (1954) and Leech (1983) to analyze the data. There are 24 data found in this study. They belong to nine types of slang language. They are; slang of society (13 data), slang in public school and university (7 data), workmen’s slang (1 data), public house slang (2 data) and soldier’s slang (1 data), but there are no data for cockney slang, tradesmen’s slang, slang in publicity and slang in Art. There are five functions of slang language, those are; expressive (10 data), informational (3 data), aesthetic (1 data), phatic (4 data), and directive (6 data).
